What is MIT Global Startup Labs?
Opportunity for MIT Community
We train and fund top MIT students and alumni to conduct technology incubator courses globally. Participants mentor startups, network with entrepreneurs and VCs, learn and teach real-world technology platforms, and explore exotic locales. Travel allowance plus generous stipend provided.
Global University Partners
We partner with top universities across the globe to transform them into regional centers of innovation by building local skills and sustainable programs to foster entrepreneurship. For each parntership, we build a team of advisors from MIT to design and execute on a custom strategy.
Mobile Technology Incubator Courses
At each partner, we bring together gifted university students from the region to guide them through a real-world entrepreneurial experience. Courses focus on ideation, market research, pitching, and appropriate technology platforms, culminating with a pitch and prototype competition.
Funded Startups
Our courses produce revenue generating mobile and Internet technologies startups. Each course culminates with a pitch competition where regional mentors and funders have the opportunity to invest in the course startups.
