Oscar studied Electrical Engineering - Telecommunications Option in the University of Nairobi. His final year project was a GSM-Standard Speech Coder (Linear Predictive Coding - LPC) implemented in C++. Prior to his undergraduate studies he studied CCNA and in addition obtained a Higher Diploma (Institute for the Management of Informaiton Systems - IMIS) from Strathmore University. He has worked in Strathmore University a number of times supervising students doing programming projects using Visual Studio.
After graduating from the University of Nairobi he has been working as a BSS Engineer at Safaricom, where he has gained a wide knowledge and hands-on experience in GSM technology and mobile telephony.
He is currently undertaking a MSc in Telecommunications Innovation Development (MSc. TID) at Strathmore University. He is interested in industry-oriented research in telecommunications, mobile application development and mobile telephony in general.
